Obama's Trillions

The Richard Prior movie Brewster's Millions, is the hilarious story of minor league baseball player Montgomery Brewster (Prior) who is informed of a dead uncle's passing.  Brewster also learns that he stands to inherit a large sum of money, but with a catch.  Brewster must spend $30 million in 30 days without any net tangible assets at the end.  Do this and he will inherit $300 million.  Brewster can't inform his friends of the challenge either.  No help allowed.  If he refuses the challenge, there is a $1 million wimp clause.  Brewster takes on the challenge and succeeds even after a last minute glitch.  John Candy plays Brewster's buddy and catcher.  Obama is doing the exact same thing as Brewster, but on the level of trillions, not millions, and out in the open for all to see.  The only thing Obama's spend-a-thon has in common with Brewster is that Obama too will lack any net tangible assets at the end.  There will only be much larger national debt and inflation rates.  Too bad there isn't a wimp clause in Obama's plan.  At least Obama has his buddy Tim Geitner to guide the way.
