Colin Powell Decides to Make the GOP in Defeat's Image
General/Secretary of State/RINO Colin Powell made headlines last year by endorsing President Obama over Senator McCain (R-AZ). I must first ask McCain how it feels to be "betrayed?" How does it feel coward? Not that great huh? Now you know how Gov Palin (R-AK) likely felt when you dissed her. Anywho... Powell woke up one morning and decided it was time to jump on the "Change" bandwagon. Now remember... This is a man that jumped ship on President Bush and essentially went into hiding ala Dick Cheney for years. There are many takes on Powell's decision, but mine is that he is a career guy first. This means moderation ala Senator Spector or McCain. Powell is looking out for Powell. I just find it amazing that Powell can say the GOP has moved too far right to win elections. Too far right??? The DFL moves far left and cleans house in 2006 and 2008 and the GOP must follow suit? The GOP has already moved left the last 8 years. McCain's poll numbers were at their highest in the 2008 Presidential election when he spoke Conservatism. Saddleback Church, Gov Sara Palin as VP, etc... Obama won, but he won 70 million to 60 million. Not 100 million to 30 million or 130 million to zip. A large segment of the population is not in love with "Change." They want Conservative if not Libertarian government. Small non-intrusive government. Powell needs to go back into hiding until the 20th anniversary of Gulf War I. Then he can do the History Channel special on how Conservatism beat dictator ass.
