I have posted here and here about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi D-CA and her lies about what she knew about the CIA terrorists interrogations, water boarding, etc...  Now Pelosi is going to an old Liberal stand-by. The "we were lied to" bull.  I suppose Pelosi knew she was caught and this was her only remaining excuse.  What a crock.  The GOP has come out to dispute Pelosi's claims and the Washington Times has reported on her new ramblings.  In the meantime, the DFL has circled the wagons for Pelosi while simultaneously denying former VP Dick Cheney's request to release more memos.  It is clear the DFL knows this issue is radioactive to the Nth degree and intend to reshape the argument such that it is all about the President Bush CIA and not the DFL, etc...  Another "Bush Lied" delusion.  I have heard talk of Pelosi loosing her Speakership over this.  That House Majority Leader Hoyer D-MD would take over.  It looks like there will be hearings over these memos, but not anything involving the current Congress.  Just the CIA and Bush.  Pelosi is third in line to the Presidency, but first in lying capability and incompetence.

Update 05/14/2009:  Rep Hoyer D-MD has thickened the plot.  Amazing how CIA leaks are okay against Bush, but not Pelosi.  If the politicians would just leave the CIA alone and let them do their jobs.  Lastly, prosecute as traitors any CIA personnel that leak classified info.  Remember the NYT leaks?

Update 05/20/2009:  There are more calls for Pelosi to resign here and here.  Newt Gingrich and Dick Morris do great jobs of explaining why.  If there is even any need for a why.
