The NIH has managed to squander more taxpayer money.  To be fair, $178,000 isn't that much money in the realm of government.  The problem is that there are literally 10,000's of these types of programs that combined total billions of dollars.  It isn't even critical research anyway.  Prostitutes in Thailand?  If you are going to waste taxpayer dough, at least do it locally.  Isn't that what the Democrats usually say?  "Act locally," etc...  The true idiocy of this study is the fact that the NIH could have rented just about ANY Vietnam War movie and had all their questions answered.  Where is Senator John Kerry (D-MA), who served in Vietnam, when you need him?
