Ex Senator Norm Coleman Prepares For His Next GOP Undermining Move
Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN) gave up last week and conceded his ballot recount fight for the state of MN's Senate seat. Coleman had lead post-election by 700 votes, which became 250 votes, then he fell behind by over 200 votes to the left-wing kook Senator Al Franken (D-MN) after the recount. The MN Supreme court ruled against Coleman in his ongoing lawsuit from last fall challenging the election results. Coleman gave up no matter the shenanigans of "found" ballots that went 100% to Franken. Coleman gave up no matter the inconsistent ballot recounting of each district. Coleman gave up no matter the more votes than registered voters in many precincts. Coleman gave up no matter the obvious application of Bush v. Gore from 2000. You see... Coleman is a wishy washy RINO who hasn't done a Conservative, let alone good, thing in the Senate since his investigation of the United Nations Oil for Food program. Coleman has voted almost always in line with Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and shown minor support of the War on Terrorism. Coleman is always talking about "getting along" and "working together." Which loosely translated means he is for sale to the Democrats. Don't forget Coleman only won his Senate seat due to Senator Paul Wellstone's (D-MN) death. The DFL had to wipe the cobwebs off Walter Mondale to even have a horse in the race. Thus, Coleman is not only a washed up GOP RINO, but he is also political sloppy seconds. I stated early that Coleman "gave up" because he did. It was partly due to finances, but Coleman had legit reasons to push his case further. Coleman instead gave what was described as an eloquent concession speech. Talked about "working together," etc... I must bring up some history before my brilliant prediction. Coleman ran for Governor back in 1998 and was second to Gov Jesse Ventura (R-MN). Ventura made a last minute sprint to the finish on the backs on younger voters. It is my belief that Coleman conceded the Senate race, and made sure to kiss butt in the process, solely for the purpose of positioning himself for a Governorship run in 2010. It makes perfect sense. Gov Pawlently is out of the running due to his delusions of a Presidential run. Coleman will run for Gov. There is also Attorney General Mike Hatch (D-MN) who is the likely front runner. Coleman might make a Gov run, but he should be out of the GOP. Norm... Just manage your wife's acting career. You have lived in separate states for all these years. Get some time together and leave the GOP.
