The Brett Favre RINOs Crave Attention

Future Green Bay Packers NFL Hall of Fame QB Brett Favre toyed with the idea of retirement for several years before finally doing so after the 2007/2008 NFL season.  I was glad when the decision was finally made.  I was tired of Favre milking the press each post season as he made the world wait for his decision.  Favre was practically begging teams to call and express their man love.  And then one did...  Favre came out of retirement to play with the New York Jets for a single season.  Favre did reasonably well until mid season when his interception prowess was on full display yet again.  Favre was done with the Jets, but not his narcissistic ways.  Favre teased the Minnesota Vikings this time.  Undergoing shoulder surgery as a precondition to any contract talk.  Favre was to make a final playing decision by July 30th...  Favre retired!!!  I'll save the analysis of the Vikings' idiocy for even talking with Favre for ESPN.  The true interesting analysis of Brett Favre's man love quest is the parallels to Moderates in Congress.  It doesn't matter if it is a GOP RINO or a DFL Blue Dog, they are both the same.  Politicians who play both sides of the isle in some self absorbed quest at legislative importance.  Senator John McCain (R-AZ) helping form the Gang of 14 in the Senate.  Or helping broker the Illegal Immigrant Amnesty bill.  Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) preannouncing his belief that Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor would be confirmed. Then asking her tough questions which resulted in answers that could only disqualify.  Only to vote for her anyway!  The lone GOP vote in the Judicial Committee.  Graham's obsession with appeasing Hispanics caused him to cross the isle.  Senator Arlen "Two Timer" Spector (D/R/D-PA) who pushed the disastrous $787 billion "stimulus" bill into passage.  We are so happy that Spector was able to broker a "deal" that trimmed as much as $100 billion from the bill.  That suave negotiating move surely outweighs the other $787 billion that is slowly being wasted.  Not!  Fortunately, Spector switched parties and is now the DFL's problem.  Spector didn't disappoint and came out against Card Check yet again.  Gotta love these "important" Moderates.  I may rip on Favre, but he is only a sports figure.  Favre has no authority to tax and spend.  The RINOs do and DO!  I call on RNC head Michael Steele to run true Conservatives against these RINOs.  I will not have the GOP be undermined by a few in the name of personal publicity.
