Most Americans Want Decreased Illegal Immigration While The DHS Abdictates Enforcement (Updated)
I wrote here how the Dept of Homeland Security has decreased Mexico border enforcement. A new poll finds that 75% of Americans want DECREASED illegal immigration. DECREASED! And INCREASED enforcement. Talk about out of touch! I have never seen any poll similar to this with support for decreased illegal immigration less than 50%. Americans know right from wrong. Americans know what illegal immigration has done to the country. It was reported that teenage unemployment was around 52%. I don't recall never having a job from the age of 12 on. Now jobs traditionally done by high school kids are hoarded by illegal immigrants. Perhaps even unskilled legal immigrants. The point is that the immigration system of this country requires a complete overhaul. A freeze on ALL immigration. A repeal of the law passed by Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) in the 60's that removed restrictions on lopsided immigration from a few countries. New standards on America's immigration needs if any. Unskilled and/or illiterate? You need not apply. Have a special skill that will benefit the country? You can make enough money in that skill to support yourself? Get in line. If we even allow a line. These reforms should also involve the end of birthright citizenship. At least one of your parents must be an American for you to be one. Birthright citizenship via the 14th Amendment to the Constitution was the result of handling slaves after the Civil war. Not migrant workers looking to score a buck in the USA. The newly freed slaves were rightly granted amnesty and citizenship. That was justice. Illegal immigrants having their "anchor babies" here in the USA is an injustice to our rule of law. I have an idea... Instead of limiting CEO pay, just tell them they have 30 days to rid their businesses of illegal aliens or go to jail. How many additional illegals would go back to Central American then when work is gone? We already know at least a million or more have returned due to the bad economy. I could go on, but the key point is this... The USA is a sovereign country with borders and government for the people and by the people. If you ignore either of these two facts, the country is lost...
