I have been writing here about the 2009 elections.  Specifically, the NY-23 race which was a "shot over the bow" to the RNC and NRCC to keep RINOs AWAY.  I just can't figure out these RINO boosters.  We have guys like Eric Schmidt, Senator John McCain's campaign manager, essentially stating the GOP needs to have a "Big Tent" and embrace RINOs.  Yet, Schmidt, McCain, Secretary of State Colin Powell, et al, are all a bunch of election LOSERS.  What did they ever win?  Nada!  Well, McCain is a Senator, but that only translates to a small constituency.  Not National appeal.  I digress...  So, Liberals and Moderates "died" on the vine last night.  What else "died?"  Social Liberalism "died" in Maine!  Hmmm, that makes CA and ME now that have said "NO" to LIberal social engineering.  A bit of bad news though...  NY-23 went for the Democrat.  It is not surprising given that the RNC and NRCC supported the RINO (Dede Scozzafava), the RINO was forced to withdraw when the Conservative (Doug Hoffman) surged, and the RINO endorsed the Democrat.  Ugh!  How the heck was this NY-23 GOP Scozzafava candidate picked?  Just think how Hoffman might have won given the same $900,000 in support.  The NRSC has learned a lesson from the RNC and NRCC screw up.  Let the RNC know your displeasure this way!  The other lesson is that Gov Sara Palin is endorsement gold, even if her "horse" looses the race.  I bet her next "horse" wins given it will not be handicapped by RINO disease.  The 2009 elections have far reaching implications for the Democrats all the way up to President Obama.  Health Care is now in more jeopardy.  Not surprising.  The Democrats can claim the looses don't hurt, but they certainly believed they hurt the GOP back in 2005.  More here.  The message has also been received by the Blue Dog Democrats.  STOP Obama!  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is her usual clueless dimwitted self though.  God bless Democratic leadership ignorance!  Keep the fight going for now...
