The USA Navy Sells Carbon Credits To The USA Army, Buys Another Aircraft Carrier, The USS Al Gore

The United States Navy announced a deal today to sell Carbon Credits to the United States Army.  The Navy has many nuclear powered vessels and this equates to a small carbon footprint.  Even considering the aircraft.  The Army on the other hand has lots of wheeled and tracked vehicles that burn diesel fuel.  The M1-A2 Abrams tank alone burns around three gallons of diesel fuel PER MILE!  Put that in your SUV and smoke it!  The cost of buying the Carbon Credits will likely mean a few less tanks, but fortunately, nothing else in the world compares to a M1-A2.  Plus, the extra aircraft carrier will mean more close air support for the Army.  It is really a win-win situation.  The Navy gets a floating fortress.  The Army gains street cred amongst the European NATO forces in Afghanistan/Iraq by going "Green."  Perhaps these European troops will be so inspired they might leave the Green Zone?  We can only hope!
