As Predicted, RINO Ex-Senator Norm Coleman To Make MN Gov Run
I wrote here back in July 2009 about Senator Norm Coleman's (R-MN) concession in the Senate recount with now Senator Al Franken (D-MN). Coleman had lead in the vote count by around 700 until various left-wing kook districts ballot stuffed and got Franken the lead by 200 or 300 in the following days. Things went to court and although there were inconsistent recount procedures, Secretary of State Mark Richie incompetence/complicity, etc, etc, etc, Coleman conceded after the MN Supreme Court ruled against him. Now, Coleman likely had a case for the Supreme Court, but possible legal funding issues prevented it, etc... It was my contention at the time that Coleman withdrew PURELY for political reasons. You see, Coleman is a political hack out for eternal political office. A man who was a Democrat, but switched to Republican for some race. It might have been for his St Paul Mayor campaign. I don't recall, but Coleman pulled a switcheroo ala Senator Arlen "Two Time" Spector (D/R/D-PA). Coleman is also a perpetual "Lame Duck" politician. Coleman lost to the categorically insane Gov Jessee Ventura (I-MN) in 1998 for Gov. Coleman was a long shot at best against Senator Paul Wellstone (D-MN) until a plane crash forced Walter Mondale into the mix. The last thing Coleman won legitimately was his Mayoral race, and he had to switch parties to do that. The guy is a HACK... Coleman should be living in LA with his "wife" and sitting on casting couches for Weekend at Bernie's V. So... We get a moderating (RINO trait) and diplomatic (think RINO Colin Powell) Coleman talking about "bringing people together" (rehash of his Senate bid) and letting MN have its clown Senator Franken. Coleman made sure to keep his political image (spineless RINO) intact at the expense of principle (if he has any). Presto! Coleman is now a preemptive front runner in the 2010 Gov race. Coleman supported everything health care in his Senate term. SCHIP expansion? Yup. Believe me, this useless tool of the DFL will pander to no end to get the Gov seat. To be continued...
