Scott Brown Has Ted Kennedy Turning In His Grave (Updated)

The special election for the late Senator Ted Kennedy's (D-MA) seat is set for Jan 19th.  A quick note on Liberal corruption first...  When JFK vacated the seat in 1962 to become President, the Governor of MA appointed a "placeholder" to occupy the seat until little Teddy was old enough to be a Senator.  Kennedy did eventually win the election and became another political hack tick behind the ear of American's for 40+ years.  Fast forward to Gov Mitt Romney's (R-MA) tenure in MA.  I don't exactly recall the events, but essentially the Liberal legislature changed the rule such that Romney, a GOP-er, could not make some appointment.  It was determined a special election would be used instead.  Well, well, well...  Fast forward again to last year.  Kennedy dies in the middle of his life long boondoggle dream... Health Care "reform."  No one on earth likes the bill including many Democrat Senators.  Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) required every possible DFL vote.  This meant that Kennedy's seat had to be filled ASAP.  No time to wait for a special election.  Solution?  Change the law again!  Enter some useless new political hack to vote the DFL line on Health Care.  Ugh!  There is some hope though...  Enter Scott Brown (R-MA).  Brown is up against Martha Coakley (D-MA).  Brown has been down as much as 30 points for the Jan 19th showdown, until now...  People have just started to learn that IF Brown wins the Kennedy seat, there will be 41 "no" votes for the thing no one wants... Health Care!  Brown is a true Conservative as well.  Now we see HUGE National attention in this race with Brown getting BIG funding raising this week.  More here.  Plus endorsements.  The payoff?  A possible two point gap now and closing!  The DFL is already planning for disaster.  Simply corrupt!  Delaying the swear in of Brown so he can't vote on Health Care? Shameless!  Especially when you consider Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) swore in new Reps ASAP after the 2009 election.  Corruption!  Given Liberal's ego such that they view the Senate seat as "Teddy's," it was a SLAM DUNK when Brown stated it was "The People's Seat" in his debate last night.  I don't know what to think of possible victory.  I think it is possible, but will be close.  Maybe close enough to require a recount or delayed certification.  Just enough to give the corrupt DFL cover on the swear-in.  No one likes this bill.  They expressed it here, and will vote it here come the 2010 elections...  I personally look forward to the day that the Kennedy "legacy," or more specifically, Oligarchy, is shelved in some dark damp bowel of the Smithsonian basement never to be seen again.  Amen!

Update 01/14/2009: Things have gotten veryyy interesting the past couple days.  Brown has raised big bucks to counter Coakley's DFL machine support...  Unions, etc...  Oh, but wait...  Brown has union support too!  How veryyy interesting that Coakley the AG can't get cop support.  Hmmm...  Could it be because she is supported by, and IS a thug herself?  A corrupt political hack?  No wonder the Democrats are worried and Brown is pulling ahead...
