Unfortunately, The GOP Succeeds In Spite Of Themselves (Updated)

I have written recently about resident RINO Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and his malfeasence on Illegal Immigration or Amnesty Shamnesty, Climate Change, Cap and Trade, etc...  The Health Care bill just passed via reconciliation.  It received ZERO GOP votes and there is a poll showing over 60% of the American people want the GOP to fight the Health Care bill.  Over 60%.  Don't forget that Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) won the Senator Ted Kennedy (R-MA) seat campaigning AGAINST the Heath Care bill.  Doesn't all this show an opening to the GOP towards election 2010 riches?  It should, but when you are a party that hasn't done CRAP for the American people in many years, it equals incompetence.  Just look at this load of crap!  No more repeal fight?  WTF!  Is the GOP leadership this dense?  Over 60% of the American people want this Health Care bill DEFEATED and the GOP has decided to back away from that defeat?  Ugh!  Ugh!  Ugh!  Don't forget their leadership problems at the RNC.  S&M expenses, trips, redecoration, etc... Ugh!  Ugh!  Ugh!  2010 is a lock to be the year the DFL takes a HUGE beating.  HUGE!  Every poll shows the DFL loosing seats in Congress and the Senate.  The GOP leads the generic ballot over the DFL by over 5%.  The great great great shame in all of this is that whatever gains the GOP makes in Nov 2010, it will be purely IN SPITE of what the GOP actually did.  With Graham's push for more unpopular legislation, the softening stance on Health Care, et al, the GOP is their own worse enemy.  The tragedy here is that the GOP will pick up like 10 or more seats in Congress, three or more in the Senate without even showing up.  Yet, the GOP will attribute those victories to their great strategy.  NOT!  Hey GOP...  I have an idea...  Why not TOUGHEN your stance.  Talk tough and BACK IT UP.  Perhaps then you will get that magic 40 seats in Congress for control.  Perhaps then you will flirt with control the the Senate.  Until then, the GOP is nothing more than a slacker who fell ass backwards into money.  The slacker is all comfortable and content thinking everything is easy breezy.  That is, until the money runs out and its back to reality.  The GOP will win seats in Nov 2010, but the election after that will be much much tougher unless the party gets tough.  A lot can happen before Nov 2012...

Update 04/08/2010: More evidence that the DFL will takes big loses come Nov 2010.  Hardly groundbreaking news.  I think this ties in more closely with my sentiment above.  Voters essentially want EVERYONE in DC out!  You can count me as one.  Sure, it would eliminate those few Republicans worth having around, but think of the baggage we would loose!
