President Obama's Deficit Commission Mirrors Their Dear Leader

Look no further than this article to see what is so wrong with the government.  The panel of "Czars" picked by Obama to analyze the Federal budget for "cost savings" has run out of money.  Well how is that for ironic?!  There is no doubt we need BIG budget cuts in the Federal budget.  The deficit is near cataclysmic proportions to GDP.  Levels high enough to make Moodys think twice about America's AAA+ rating.  I want to put this deficit commission in perspective...  This panel of likely incompetent boobs has been at it for weeks.  Why?  The answer is pretty simple really.  One, they were formed as a PR move for the Democrats who faced (and still face) angry voters.  A big plurality of voters are essentially PISSED OFF over all the spending.  More here .  Two, these political pawns are trying to cut the budget without affecting some Liberal victim group.  Or some voting block in some vulnerable Democrats' Nov 2010 district.  The fact is it can't be done.  No matter where the budget is cut, there will be disaffected voters.  Personally, I say GOOD!  There are far too many leeches on the Federal payroll.  Let us take a look at how private business makes cuts.  A CEO says this to the staff, "I want an across the board 10% cut in EVERYTHING not related to R&D."  Done!  No panels.  No weeks of gridlock.  Just get it done so the business can prosper.  The Federal Budget translation would be this, "I want an across the board 10% cut in EVERYTHING not related to National Defense."  Done!  It really should be more like 20%, with spending increases only per inflation, and entire blocks of government dropped.  Sort of how a private business will sell off or disband bad business units.  I vote for Dept of Homeland Security, Dept of Education, etc, to start.  That will save $100 billion per year alone.  More proof the government is too big.  GOP Revolt!
