RINOs, Like Cockroaches, Find Ways To Thrive (Updated)
I've talked numerous times about the absolutely frustrating Senate hag duo in ME. Senators Olympia Snow (R-ME) and Susan Collins (R-ME). These two useless RINOs have only voted right ONE time in the last four plus years (maybe more, but I'm talking BIG issues stuff). The vote...against ObamaCare. However, at least one of them is good for a "yea" vote on Democrat legislation. Ugh! It wouldn't matter so much if the GOP had 43 or 45 Senators, but when you have 41. Ugh! It should be 42 Senators by the way, but you pay a price when dealing with a RINO (Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN)). Ouch! Enter Senator Scott Brown (R-MA). The latest entry into the ranks of RINO. I freely admit to being gungho over Brown when he was looking to "steal" Senator Ted Kennedy's "seat." That coupled with his guaranteed "nay" vote on ObamaCare was Tea Party nirvana! My my my... What a difference a few months make. Now we have Brown going RINO. Ditto at least one of the hags. Article here and here . ObamaCare did pass via bizarre reconciliation rules, bribes, kickbacks, or some other form of corrupt black magic. What does hindsight tell us now? Would it had been better for the DFL "mannequin" to have won in MA? Brown's win did somewhat contribute to the sinking of several DFL Senate careers (Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) and Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR)). Time will tell...
Update 07/19/2010: A good article involving Senator Brown and unemployment has been printed. Brown talks "jive RINO" about working with Democrats. Practically whines about being the only one, etc... Well Brown, there is good reason... NO ONE supports the Democrat agenda except YOU and the two hags in ME. NO ONE! Ugh! Actually though, Brown's proposal to use unspent "stimulus" money to fund unemployment seems reasonable. The "stimulus" was SUPPOSED to create jobs. The bill hasn't, so why not just use a small part to extend unemployment? I'll tell you why not... Unemployment will be high for a long time coming until we get a halt to over spending by government. A cut in programs. A cut in taxes, etc... I say fund this with the unspent "stimulus" money. Not perpetual couch surfing...
