Perfect Timing...GOP Looses House And Senate THEN Decides To Push Tough Immigration Stance

How many of you about had conniption fits back in 2006 when President George Bush, Senate RINOs John McCain (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), et al, pushed for "comprehensive" immigration reform?  I seriously came "this close" to being put in a straight jacket.  The DFL and GOP COMPLETELY ignored the immigration debacle.  The DFL wanted victims/voters, the GOP wanted labor/voters.  Now these transparent HACKS expect us to believe they want an end to birthright citizenship?  More here.  Don't get me wrong.  I want the Feds to take a tougher stance on immigration.  A quick recap...  Remember Sarbanes-Oxley for accounting?  CEOs must sign off on their company's financials?  I want the same for the labor force.  I want these companies to certify their employees are valid.  The Feds find an illegal?  CEO goes to jail for 90 days, BIG fines, etc...  I don't want to hear sob stories about how hard it is to verify labor.  If you can't verify, don't hire...  These companies should be given protections from outlier verification issues, but nonetheless, go to JAIL...  There should have been an end to birthright citizenship 30 years ago.  Just look at Texas' issues .  There should be a fence along the ENTIRE southern border.  We should block wire transfers to/from Mexico.  We should withhold ALL financial aid from Mexico and Central American in general.  Even Drug War money.  Heck, these corrupt countries keep more of that cash than they use anyway.  We need to COMPLETELY change the way we allow work visas and immigration.  Instead of 50-75k work visas to highly skilled workers and many times more green cards to the unskilled, we should just dump both programs and base our immigration on needs.  In other words...  We should only allow 50k or so green cards per year to those that possess skills we need.  Brain Surgeon, Phd, etc...  All others?  NOT!  We are not looking for cheap labor to fill factories any more.  We are a nation of high technology.  I'm sure there are other things we could do to fix this fixable issue, but you get the point.  Given the state of the American welfare state, and the DFL need for victims to "support" via government check, the time is way past to nip this issue in the bud...

I wrote about illegal immigration a bit ago as GOP resident RINO Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) decided to talk "tough" on the issue. The "Maverick" went right and shot some campaign ads along the border, talked about a fence, some kind of "security, etc... Of course, Conservatives know McCain is a complete fraud. The guy was only trying to save his ass, and now looks to be going "Maverick" again as his primary win looks assured. Most ...
