The Federal Reserve finally revealed where the $2 trillion (actually $3.2 trillion) in government "aid" went during the financial crisis.  Much of the money went to bail out banks in Europe!  That's right.  Europe!  The American taxpayer was told it would be Armageddon if we didn't give the Federal reserve this power.  It would be fire and brimstone!  We were told the tax cheat and new Federal Reserve Chairman Timothy Geitner was the only one "smart" enough to fix the mess.  What did we get?  A massive $3.2 trillion "bill" and/or inflation/loan backing to bailout out Europe!  Ugh!  Ugh!  Ugh!  Never mind the fact that we have been the sole military power in Europe since the end of WWII.  We have had all sorts of troops, planes, boats, et al, in Europe.  Europe has had the luxury of cradle to grave welfare, universal health care, less than 40 hr work week, six weeks vacation, etc...  Essentially Europe has had the luxury of being a TRUE Bourgeoisie society on the backs of America.  If Europe had to actually spend to defend themselves, we wouldn't have ANY debate about how if the EU has universal health care, we should as well.  Why?  Because the EU wouldn't be able to afford government health care if they had to actually spend for national defense.  Ugh!  I digress here a bit though...  Getting back to these rotten EU bank bailouts...  Who owns EU debt?  Likely big investment banks like Goldman Sachs.  What happens if that debt goes bad?  A whole lot of rich "evil" bankers go broke.  Hmmm, we have the Obama Administration demonizing the GOP for only supporting an extension of the Bush Tax Cuts for everyone.  "Rich" included.  Yet the Obama administration essentially bailed out out the "rich" with their bailout of the EU banks.  Talk about hypocrites!  Essentially, these "rich" fat cat bankers scored a "tax cut."  Or perhaps the better term is "tax credit."  Heck, why not just call it welfare for the rich?  The unemployment rate has gone up to 9.8% and we have spent a generation worth of wealth and treasure on other countries.  I say CRAP!  I say we pull out of the EU.  No more troops.  Why are we sticking a missile defense shield in Poland?  Sure, Poland has been a big help in the War on Terror, but shouldn't the EU defend themselves?  Think of how much money we could save by abandoning the EU.  They don't like us anyway.  Heck, dump NATO altogether for a new treaty.  None of these countries sans the UK, Poland, etc, really helped us after 9/11.  I say let them rot...  Ok, I feel better now.  Rant complete, but you get my point.  We can talk about "tax cuts" for the rich all day long, but don't forget the wasted money on BIG banks, EU, etc...  Duh!
