The mean evil Republicans are at it again!  They plan heartless deep budget cuts.  Soon, we will see deficits living in the street, eating dog food, used as props by the Liberal Media, etc...  Prepare yourselves!  We must be determined and show the Democrats we will pull the plug on deficits.  Ok, now for some serious stuff...  It truly is easy managing a blog when the GOP controls the House, Dick Morris, and the Heritage Foundation do the heavy deficit cut lifting.  Morris has great articles on budget cuts here and here.  Heritage has a great one here.  For President Obama and the DFL to pretend there isn't anywhere to cut in a $3.7 trillion budget that was $2.7 trillion when Obama took office is to LIE!  The GOP is right to push for a reduction back to 2008 levels.  Don't forget we wasted $825 billion on "stimulus," like $100 billion on unemployment benefit extensions, state aid, etc...  That isn't part of the budget.  Those were "one-time" payoffs.  We are broke!  Thank goodness the GOP controls the House! The USA was one step away from the ledge and now we are at least two steps or more.  The linked articles show lots of great places to cut, but we could do more.  I agree defense spending is tricky, but what if we just pulled out of Europe, Japan, South Korea, etc...?  More so the first two.  Wouldn't that save big bucks?  I must also quick mention that it is soooo amazing that the GOP controls the State House/Senate in MN.  Yes!  Gov Mark Dayton (D-MN) should never had been crowned Governor, but that is another topic.  What really matters is that Dayton wants a new top top tax rate of 10%!  Yes, 10%!  I can't even imagine what this state would look like in four years had the DFL kept control of the legislature and won the Governorship.  Dayton would spend big on all sorts of crap.  I bet we would have HUGE outflow of citizens as well.  Ugh!  Ugh!  Ugh!  It sucks having a mental patient in the Gov Mansion, but at least there are dozens of "orderlies" keep him in check.
