The "Drop In The Bucket" Congress
The Congress and Senate, but President Obama especially have benefited from the crises in Egypt, Libya, and now Japan because it has taken the focus away from the Nov 2010 election theme... Government Spending! We have a President who only knows how to use a crisis for political gain, not how to solve it. We have a Congress/Senate that are bickering over whether to cut $1 billion per week or $2 billion per week out of a Federal Budget running a deficit of near $30 billion per week. Ugh! The 60+ GOP Congressman and 5+ GOP Senators sent to D.C, along with 680+ GOP State members, were put there to stop the government bloat and record deficit spending. Instead, we get a Congress content to cut $2 billion per week after promising $100 billion on the year. We get a Senate that goes into recess without even looking at previously mentioned limp legislation. We get a Republican party refusing to use all the tools at their disposal to stop ObamaCare funding due to some stupid desire to make Congress more "civil." Ugh! Get your head out of your damn asses GOP and DO SOMETHING! The country is on the brink and the GOP is waiting for the local machine shop to fabricate them a spine. The news is very dire. Our debt is near 100% of GDP. We have a reported 8.9%, but 10.3% actual unemployment rate with a record low 64% labor force participation rate. WE NEEDED HELP YESTERDAY! I have near had it with the GOP. A lot of Conservatives feel the same way. I just get this feeling that we are going to end up with a new loss/wash of House seats come 2010. Ditto in the Senate. We will have the Tea Party running primaries against this wishy-washy Republicans. There will be strong 3rd Party candidates, etc... Now is not the time to worry about "civility." ObamaCare was forced on us along with tons of CRAP in the Lame Duck session. Go UNDO it ALL or go home packing cowards!
