GOP Does What The DFL Will Not, Plan A Budget

The Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) 111th Congress.  The worse Congress is American history, failed to pass a budget for the first time since 1974.  That was when President Jimmy Carter (D-GA) #1 qualified for a "head of household" deduction on the USA.  Now it is another "Carter," President Barack Obama...a.k.a..."head of household" 2.0.  Not leader, but "head of household."  Anyway, the 111th Congress was the first Congress since 1974 to not pass a budget.  A lot of news articles use the term "failed," but that is not accurate. The 111th Congress REFUSED to pass a budget.  They REFUSED to pass a budget because to do so would mean 10x the political ass kicking they took in Nov 2010.  It would have been worse than 60+ Congressional seats and near 700 State Assembly seats.  The deficit was already well over $1 trillion, $1.5 trillion even then.  So...  As we sit here in Obamaville, formerly known as Carteropolis, and ponder the edge of the abyss, a few brave GOP souls have come forward with...a BUDGET.  Well, more a blueprint, but it is still more than the DFL has done in over 18 months.  The GOP budget blueprint is pretty good.  It would cut $6 trillion over tens years.  Now, when your annual deficit is $1.5 trillion, that is not a lot of cuts.  It will be interesting to see the future benefits.  I know some have talked about a possible balanced budget down the road, etc, from this framework.  Time will tell.  Right now this budget must get through the mine field of DFL victims that will surely be dug up and paraded around.  Question...  If the Federal Budget is so important to these "victims," why didn't the DFL Congress pass one?  I just hope the GOP has an earmark for spinal cords.  They will need it to defend that which they better defend.  GOP Revolt!
