I have read and heard via radio tonight that a major sticking point for the GOP's budget/CR is cuts in home heating aide to the poor.  I guess northeast Democrats are crying foul.  The Dept of HHS has also tried to free up funds in case the cuts go through, etc...  This is just me paraphrasing, but...  The GOP are so damn heartless!  How can the GOP expect to win the budget cuts battle when they cut off heat to our poorest citizens with the dreaded cold summer just weeks away?  I tell you...  If the GOP go ahead and cut off home heating aide for this summer, I'm leaving the party...  Now seriously folks...  If the DFL isn't even willing to cut off home heating aide during the summer months, what are they actually wiling to cut?  How do we have a home heating aide program anyway?  How do these people even have homes if they can't afford to heat them?  Sure, it costs more to heat a house than apartment, but that is why all these people should be in apartments!  See the Liberal kook unintended consequences of home ownership at any cost?  The poor get put into homes they can neither afford or deserve, then we need more programs to subsidized their home costs.  Ugh!
